You heard me!
We've gone camping inside!!! You can't always leave the comfort of your happy home for adventures! My mom gave me this "airport" tent and air mattress. (Called mini-motel- you can learn more about it here:

We set it up in his room to camp indoors. We had a blast!!!!
I put a candle on the floor and we had our "smores" and told ghost stories around our "fire". It was adorable!
That's okay, because not everyone needs a mini-motel. Blanket forts work awesome for this!!!
I did not get to know my half-siblings until my childhood was nearly over- coupled with older parents, many of these childhood activites weren't experienced. Needless to say, that's a large part of my motivation to do these things with my kids.
One day, my step son was feeling really low. My husband (because he's brilliant) came up with the idea to blanket fort K's entire bedroom. He was so excited!! That was equally great! There are so many ways to do this! Get out some sleeping bags, put the tent out in the backyard, or turn the living room upside down!!!
You're great American Explores, You're pioneers on the frontier, You're on a mountain expedition, You're hunters looking for the biggest catch ever! A little imagination with your children goes a very long way!
